Nestled among tranquil lakes and woodland, Woodland Waters Park offers a beautifully maintained setting with spacious, level pitches that provide ample room for motorhomes and caravans. The site feels uncrowded and scenic, with many pitches offering lovely views and easy access to facilities, including fully serviced options. Cleanliness is a standout feature across all years, with toilet and shower blocks consistently praised as immaculate, warm, and well-maintained, though some visitors note that the facilities appear dated and could benefit from refurbishment. The on-site Woody's Bar and restaurant is a highlight, serving excellent food including Sunday roasts and daily specials at reasonable prices, alongside a welcoming, dog-friendly atmosphere and evening entertainment. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, helpful, and professional, going out of their way to assist guests, even during stormy weather. The park is extremely dog-friendly, with extensive walks around the lakes and woodland that lead to the village of Ancaster, providing ample exercise for four-legged companions. Families appreciate the well-kept playgrounds and children's parks, creating a safe and peaceful environment. Fishing enthusiasts are well catered for with several lakes that yield good catches, supported by a helpful on-site tackle shop. The site offers good Wi-Fi when quiet, but it can become unreliable when the park is full; mobile reception varies by network. However, pitch placement can be a lottery, with some pitches near the play area or main road suffering from traffic noise until late, while others enjoy peace and lake views. A small number of permanent RVs in certain areas can detract from the natural beauty, and some guests experienced muddy ground and leaking water taps after wet weather. Poor signage for pitch numbers and waste disposal points can cause confusion upon arrival, and some showers have problematic push-button controls that deliver inconsistent water temperature, alternating between scalding and freezing with very short flow durations. Laundry facilities are outdated and sometimes malfunction, though staff have been known to help personally. Overall, Woodland Waters offers a relaxing, family-friendly countryside escape with a strong sense of community and natural beauty, though the experience varies significantly by pitch location and staffing consistency.
