Perched on a hillside overlooking the bay of Cadaqués, this campsite boasts an enviable location that offers spectacular sea views and easy access to the charming town center and the famous Dalí House-Museum. The site is just a short stroll from the heart of Cadaqués, though the return journey is steep and requires a good level of fitness. The surrounding landscape provides effortless reach to Cap de Creus and numerous dramatic coves, making it a prime base for exploring the Costa Brava. Guests consistently praise the modern, hotel-quality sanitary blocks, which are repeatedly described as spotless, comfortable, and featuring generous shower spaces. The staff are universally commended for being friendly, welcoming, and helpful, often going out of their way to assist with local bookings and creating a positive atmosphere. The swimming pool is a highlight, described as beautiful and wonderful, though it may not open early in the season and loungers can be scarce. On-site amenities include a well-stocked shop, a restaurant with stunning bay views, and a supermarket, with the restaurant being popular despite some finding the menu limited or expensive. However, the value for money is frequently questioned, with many guests feeling the site is overpriced, particularly in high season. Pitches, especially for motorhomes and caravans, are often described as small, uneven, lacking shade, and offering limited privacy, with some guests finding themselves on cramped, unlevel spots hemmed in by buildings. Noise can be an issue, with reports of a nearby generator, loud music from a community center until the early hours, and early morning glass recycling collection. Access for larger vehicles can be challenging due to steep, narrow roads and a congested entrance that may not suit double-axle units. Nighttime visits from wild boar have been reported without prior warning, which can be unsettling. Wind can be a problem on upper pitches, making outdoor dining difficult. WiFi performance is mixed, working well for some but with others reporting none during their stay, while mobile phone signal is generally good. The site is popular with dog owners, though some guests complained about owners not cleaning up after their pets. Despite the pitch imperfections and premium pricing, the combination of staff friendliness, spotless cleanliness, and unbeatable seaside location makes this a compelling choice for many, with numerous guests expressing a strong desire to return.
