This long-established seaside campsite has been a fixture since the 1970s and remains popular for its superb location with direct access to a pleasant beach and convenient proximity to the town centre, supermarkets, and the lively resort of Platja d'Aro. While the site was once a peaceful family favourite, recent years have seen a noticeable shift: noise from large motorhomes, youth camps, and late-night parties has become a common complaint, particularly during peak summer months. The low season, however, can still offer a wonderfully tranquil escape. The staff receive consistently high praise for being friendly, helpful, and welcoming, especially at reception and the bar. Sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly, with warm water available at most sinks, though during busy periods they can become crowded, outdated, and in need of modernization. Spacious pitches are a strong point, many with water and waste connections, but some are completely exposed to the sun—so bringing shade is advisable. The on-site restaurant and small shop receive mixed feedback; the food is often described as disappointing, making nearby town restaurants a better option. WiFi incurs an extra charge and performance is mediocre. Dogs are welcome and receive a welcome pack. The campsite is dog-friendly and generally attracts an older, quieter crowd outside of school group periods. There is no swimming pool on site, which disappoints some families. The beach has a steep drop-off into deep water, making it unsuitable for small children. Value for money is questioned by many, especially given extra costs for electricity and WiFi. Overall, this site offers an unbeatable seaside setting and spacious pitches, but the combination of noise, overcrowded facilities, and inconsistent service means it is best enjoyed in the low season or by those who do not require a quiet, family-focused atmosphere.
