Strandcamping Waging am See is a large, beautifully situated campsite right on the shores of Lake Waging in Bavaria, with the Alps as a constant backdrop. The setting is naturally peaceful and scenic, making it easy to unwind and soak in the surroundings. The lake offers plenty of activities such as swimming, paddling, and boating, and there is a surf school on site. The campsite is especially welcoming for families, with excellent children's programs and many play and leisure options. During peak season, the site organizes pleasant evening events by the lake. Dog owners are well catered for with a dedicated dog beach, a large agility course, and even a dog meadow. The on-site restaurant serves excellent food and features a lovely terrace overlooking the lake. A well-stocked supermarket and a dedicated campers' shop are available right at the grounds. The sanitary facilities are modern, spacious, and consistently clean, with individual washing cabins in some buildings. The pitches themselves are spacious, comfortable, and largely solid underfoot. The overall atmosphere is cozy despite the site's size. Guests with mobility needs receive outstanding, attentive support from the management. The surrounding area provides fantastic cycling and hiking routes, and the city of Salzburg is just 35 km away for day trips. While the overall experience is top-notch, some note that the prices are on the higher side. Many visitors express a strong desire to return, calling the campsite a place they long for.
