Øster Hurup Camping sits on Denmark's North Jutland coast, where a marine woodland meets the shoreline, offering an atmospheric setting that blends forest shade with sea breezes. The site is split into three distinct pitch zones: fully shaded spots tucked under the trees, open areas bathed in sunlight, and partially shaded positions for those who want a mix. Just a short stroll away, a wide sandy beach invites swimming, sunbathing, and coastal walks, making it easy to spend lazy days by the water. For overnight flexibility, the campsite provides rental tents, caravans, hikers' cabins, and bungalows or chalets, so visitors can arrive without their own gear. A dedicated playground keeps younger guests entertained, with swings, slides, and climbing frames set in a safe, grassy area. The 41-hectare property feels spacious and uncrowded, with plenty of room to explore the surrounding nature trails. Touring pitches range from 90 to 150 square metres, giving caravans and motorhomes ample elbow room. The site also supports guests with disabilities, ensuring accessible paths and facilities for a comfortable stay. Open from late March to mid-September, the campground takes full advantage of Denmark's long, light summer days. The altitude of just 10 metres means flat terrain that's easy to walk or cycle across. Altogether, 227 touring pitches, 77 annual pitches, and 20 rental units keep the atmosphere lively yet relaxed. Woodland walks, beach outings, and the simple pleasure of hearing waves through the trees define the character here. Arriving by road is straightforward, and the local area offers charming coastal villages worth a detour. This is a place where the forest meets the sea, and every pitch feels connected to nature. The overall vibe is family-friendly, unhurried, and authentically Danish.
