Nestled on the serene shores of Lake Ossiach, this family-run campsite has been welcoming guests for over sixty years, creating a warm and almost familial atmosphere. Its terraced layout offers stunning lake views, especially from the premium pitches, though accessing the modern sanitary facilities may require a short uphill walk. The exceptionally clean and well-maintained washrooms feature spacious showers with adjustable spray, and the entire site is kept spotless through frequent cleaning schedules. A private lakeside beach and jetty provide direct access for swimming and non-motorized water sports like paddleboarding and kayaking. The small on-site café offers a convenient bread roll service for breakfast, while a grocery store within walking distance covers daily shopping needs. The grassy pitches, shaded by striking trees, vary in size, with some including electric, waste-water, and TV connections. The owners, a mother-and-son team, are consistently praised for their professional and caring hospitality, making guests feel at home from the moment they arrive. A safe children's playground and thoughtfully balanced entertainment options keep younger visitors engaged without intrusive constant animation. The campsite serves as an excellent base for cycling around the lake and through the Drau Valley, as well as for excursions throughout Carinthia. Electricity is metered based on consumption, which guests with solar panels find very fair. During July and August, dogs are not permitted, contributing to the already tranquil environment. The serene atmosphere and modern amenities strike a perfect balance, encouraging many visitors to return year after year. While the ACSI camping card is reportedly not accepted, the overall experience of tranquility, quality amenities, and a central location ensures a memorable stay.
