RCN Vakantiepark de Flaasbloem
This campsite in Brabant is a vast, well-organized haven that consistently delights families with its outstanding facilities and natural beauty. The sheer size can be overwhelming, but the site is clean and well-maintained, with good signage to help you find your way. Visitors are immediately impressed by the friendly, helpful, and multilingual staff, from reception to the cleaners. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean, with plenty of hot water, and some pitches even offer private en-suite options. A highlight is the stunning swimming lake with water slides and a pontoon, complemented by an indoor pool that is appreciated on cooler days. For dining, there is an on-site restaurant, bar, bistro, pizzeria, and snack bar, all offering reasonably priced food and drinks. The well-stocked shop sells essentials and fresh bread, pastries, and orange juice at fair prices, though it closes early in the afternoon. The vast grounds feature a separate 'wilderness camping' area for tents, keeping cars and caravans away for a quieter experience. Pitches here are spacious, shady, and divided by greenery, offering privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. Numerous play areas are scattered throughout, and there is a land train and a full program of kids' activities. The location is ideal for exploring, with bike paths right outside leading to Breda and Efteling theme park just 30 minutes away. The only significant drawbacks are noise on Friday and Saturday nights from the bar and sometimes from other campers, and a lack of lifeguards at the indoor pool, which can get boisterous. Additionally, some tent pitches are a long walk from the car park, requiring a trolley, and the lake has occasionally been affected by blue-green algae warnings. Overall, the campsite is highly recommended for families seeking a nature-oriented stay with excellent facilities.
