It is surrounded by lush greenery and boasts a beautiful forest-like setting with abundant shade. The staff are consistently described as helpful, friendly, and welcoming, often going out of their way to assist guests. The site provides extensive and well-maintained amenities, including clean shower blocks with modern fittings, hairdryers, and card-operated washing machines and dryers. The swimming pool complex, complete with slides, is a major draw for families and provides excellent entertainment. Multiple play areas, a football pitch, and a small lake with frogs keep children entertained. The on-site restaurant serves good food, with popular pizza nights, and a shop offers fresh pastries and bread for morning collection. This campsite is impressively quiet at night despite its size, making it suitable for families seeking a peaceful stay. Guests appreciate the spacious pitches and calm, relaxing atmosphere. However, some pitches, especially those under large trees, can become extremely muddy and shaded after rain, making the stay less pleasant. The free WiFi is reported to be weak, though mobile data works well. The urinals in the refurbished toilet blocks occasionally emit a strong odor, and showers may not always be hot. The restaurant menu is somewhat limited, and during peak times the play field can feel crowded. Roads through the site can be tight for caravans, and the once-lacked lifeguard at the pool led to some disregard of rules.
