This campsite on the island of Rømø offers a beautiful natural setting on the edge of a nature reserve, with spacious pitches set among dunes, heathland, and pine forests. The location provides excellent access to walking, cycling, and hiking trails across the island, as well as a wide sandy beach where you can drive on the hard sand. Guests appreciate the freedom to choose their own pitch upon arrival, and the staff is consistently described as friendly, helpful, and welcoming, creating an uncomplicated atmosphere. The site is well-structured with trees and hedges dividing the area into groups, and it is particularly family-friendly, allowing children to cycle safely and providing a natural environment ideal for dog owners. Sanitary facilities are generally kept clean, though some guests note they are average or not the newest, with occasional issues like distant water points. During rainy weather, certain pitches may become prone to flooding, so visitors should be prepared for potential wet conditions. Wi-Fi is reported to work well even at the far end of the site. Payment is cashless only in some seasons, so having cards is advisable, while other times cash in euros or crowns is accepted. Dining options in the surroundings are limited to mostly fast food. The campsite is a great base for exploring the island by bike, car, or on foot, and in the off-season, rates are very low with the ACSI card. Many guests would return and recommend the site without hesitation.
