Guests consistently praise the exceptionally warm and helpful staff, who go out of their way to lend equipment, arrange alternative accommodation, or secure end pitches for extra privacy. The on-site farm shop is a standout feature, stocked with fresh local produce, milkshakes, bacon, sausages, firewood, coffee, and camping essentials, and it stays open from 8 am to 8 pm. Spacious, level pitches across large fields give campers plenty of room to choose their spot, and the site welcomes tents, campervans, touring caravans, and groups. A dedicated children's playground and three peaceful fishing ponds add to the family-friendly atmosphere, making it a hit with young kids. The proximity to the airport means planes fly overhead during the day, but flights stop by 9 pm, so sleep is rarely disturbed. Its location is ideal for beachgoers, with Watergate Bay just a short drive away and a bus stop right outside providing easy access to Newquay, Padstow, and other coastal villages. The toilet and shower blocks receive mixed feedback: many find them clean and plentiful, but a significant number report that showers spray water in all directions due to scaled or faulty heads and require constant button-pressing, especially in the ladies' block. WiFi is available for a fee but can be unreliable, while mobile signal is generally good. Some guests note that seasonal caravans and long-stay residents occupy parts of the fields, which can make the layout feel awkward for short-term visitors. Grey water disposal and signage for chemical disposal points could be improved. During major events like Boardmasters Festival, the site acts as a base for day ticket holders, leading to increased noise and late-night activity despite a 10.30 pm quiet rule.
