This campsite on Lake Wolfgangsee is a dream destination for lovers of stunning alpine scenery and pristine cleanliness. Year after year, guests rave about the exceptionally friendly and helpful family-run staff who go out of their way to make stays enjoyable. The sanitary facilities are consistently described as modern, spotless, and cleaned multiple times daily—among the best campers have ever seen. Pitches are generally spacious and many come with water, electricity, and waste water connections, though some lakeside spots are premium and cheaper ones near a road can be noisy. The lake itself is the star: drinking-quality water, a small private beach with free loungers and umbrellas, and breathtaking mountain views. The location is superb for outdoor activities, right on a bike path with easy access to St. Gilgen, ferry to St. Wolfgang, and bus to Salzburg. The on-site gastronomy is limited—a pizza-to-go option in the evenings and a nearby restaurant that doesn't always appeal—but a small shop sells daily essentials and fresh bread rolls can be pre-ordered. Wi-Fi is weak and often limited to one device per person, and mobile signal can be poor. Dogs are welcome but charged extra, and are not allowed on the beach or in the water. The playground is small, and families with children may find limited activities, though table tennis is available. The atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxation and couples. Some guests report issues with tent campers feeling unwelcome, a forced pitch change, or stale bread rolls, but these are exceptions. Overall, the campsite leaves a superb impression for its cleanliness, friendly service, and stunning lakeside setting, making guests eager to return for longer stays.
