Nestled in the Ötztal valley, this campsite offers a stunning mountain backdrop and a generally peaceful atmosphere, though the sound of a nearby river can be quite loud at times. The grassy pitches vary in size; the upper pitches are notably spacious, while some lower areas may feel tight for larger setups. Privacy and comfort are generally good, with many spots providing a sense of seclusion. The owners and staff are consistently described as friendly, helpful, and exceptionally responsive, going out of their way to resolve any issues. The main sanitary facilities are kept very clean and well-maintained, though men might encounter a queue in the morning as only two showers are available; additional showers are located in the main building. The on-site restaurant serves excellent food at fair prices, though the menu can be limited. A small children's playground is available, and a larger public playground is nearby. A notable drawback is the cash-only payment policy; the on-site ATM charges a withdrawal fee, so it's wise to bring enough euros. The overall value for money is debated, as some guests feel the price is too high for the basic amenities and noise level. For outdoor enthusiasts, the location is an excellent base for hiking and exploring the Ötztal region. The atmosphere is calm and family-friendly, with a welcoming, supportive vibe from the management.
