Set in a rustic farm atmosphere in the Algarve, this campsite offers a peaceful and airy environment that appeals to travelers seeking simplicity and tranquility. The grounds feature a lovely natural swimming pool with an adjacent bar, forming a popular social hub, along with a small fitness zone and volleyball court. The site welcomes dogs and maintains an animal-friendly ethos, with donkeys, chickens, and horses roaming nearby. Pitches are spacious and well-laid-out, but no assignments are given upon arrival, forcing guests to hunt for a spot and sometimes be relocated the next day. Many reservations for electricity or water go unfulfilled, and most pitches lack water hook-ups entirely. The narrow, rutted access road and a bottleneck at check-in create a frustrating first impression. Sanitary blocks are cleaned daily but are far too few, leading to long queues for small shower stalls that may offer only lukewarm water. Guests also report water supply cuts, a lack of hot water in the mornings, and non-potable tap water. Wi-Fi is often limited or switched off after a day, and the electrical system is described as weak and potentially hazardous. The bar and restaurant are not always open, the on-site shop rarely operates, and payment is restricted to cash or PayPal. Despite these drawbacks, many find the value for money acceptable and express a desire to return, especially those with a flexible, surfer-friendly mindset who embrace the campsite's simplicity and tranquil charm.
