Naturcamping Kessenhammer-Biggesee
This lakeside campsite draws mixed reviews, largely due to its natural setting and access to cycling and walking routes. The location is consistently praised as a beautiful base for outdoor activities, and the morning bread delivery is a standout convenience. However, the experience is frequently marred by serious and persistent issues with the sanitary facilities. Guests describe the toilets and showers as outdated, often out of order, and plagued by poor cleanliness, including mold and wet floors. The management has faced criticism for communication failures, such as assigning already-occupied pitches and charging rates that exceed initial quotes by over fifty percent. Pitches are considered cramped by some, measuring roughly nine by eight meters, which detracts from comfort for overnight stops. The staff are sometimes noted as friendly and receptive to complaints, yet this does little to offset the fundamental hygiene concerns. The on-site shop receives high marks for its offerings, and there are children's activities and sports amenities available. Value for money is a recurring sore point, with the high cost feeling unjustified given the tired infrastructure. The washroom upkeep has been called disastrous, with drains not working and supplies like soap and paper towels running out frequently. For those not using the restaurant or traveling with children in the off-season, those aspects remain unassessed. Overall, the campsite's potential is overshadowed by neglectful administration and dated facilities, making it a disappointment for many visitors.
