Many guests found the site itself quiet and peaceful, but the constant noise from an adjacent highway disturbed some visitors. The sanitary buildings are a mixed bag: they are sometimes described as clean and modern, yet numerous reports highlight poor maintenance, infrequent cleaning, and an overall run-down appearance. Showers and hot water at sinks require extra payment via a prepaid chip system, which several guests considered overpriced and inconvenient. The chip system also means that unspent credit is not easily refunded, forcing guests to submit personal details for a possible later refund. The restaurant is permanently closed, and there is no bread roll service, leaving campers without on-site dining or fresh breakfast options. The swimming pool is small, mostly suitable for children, and has been reported as unheated and sometimes only partially filled. Security concerns were raised about long-term residents occupying dilapidated caravans and storage areas that feel untidy and unsafe, especially near the sanitary block. The campsite grounds suffer from neglect, with overgrown areas, derelict caravans, and a general lack of care that falls short of the advertised paradise. For a single overnight stay, facilities are adequate, but for longer visits the shortcomings in cleanliness, maintenance, and transparency become glaring. The automated system and lack of personal staff interaction leave many feeling unwelcome, as there is rarely anyone to assist with problems or provide information. Overall, the campsite is seen as overpriced for what it offers, with extra charges for basic amenities like hot water and electricity that many believe should be included.
