This campsite is ideally located near Vienna, with the U-Bahn just a 10-minute walk away and excellent access to cycling paths, the Lobau recreation area, and the New Danube for swimming. The nearby highway and train noise are generally considered acceptable and not bothersome. The area is very beautiful, perfect for walking and cycling excursions. The staff are attentive, friendly, and provide helpful information on local routes. Reception closes at 5:30 PM, but late arrivals can choose their pitch and check in the next morning. The pitches are unmarked, level, and can be very tight when full, with some luxury pitches even smaller; there is little privacy or separation between pitches. The sanitary facilities are clean, though some signs of deferred maintenance exist, like overgrown grass and debris. Off-season deals offer good value, such as €99 for four nights including electricity. There is a small shop and bar on site, but dining and grocery shopping facilities were absent during coronavirus restrictions, and gluten-free food options are unavailable. The site is a busy transit hub with constant coming and going, but it serves well as a base for cycling and city sightseeing. The road access is excellent, being close to the motorway. Overall, it is a recommended choice for exploring Vienna, despite being a basic parking lot for campers lacking in pitch privacy and size.
