The fishing lake is a major attraction, with well-maintained pegs and healthy stocks of roach, rudd, and recently added mirror carp. A nearby pub, just a short walk away, provides excellent food and drinks. The area is ideal for walking, cycling, and dog owners appreciate the large field and surrounding lanes for walks. However, the campsite has some drawbacks. The toilet cubicles are small and low, and there is only one unisex toilet, which can be an issue during busier periods. A recurring complaint is an unpleasant smell from a nearby chicken processing plant, which drifts across the site when the wind is unfavorable. The site is somewhat hard to find, with poor signage, and narrow access roads with no passing places can be tricky for larger vehicles. There are no bins on site, requiring guests to take their rubbish home, and some noise from a nearby factory has been reported at night. The entry barrier can be tight for larger rigs, and phone signal can be patchy, especially near trees.
