This campsite in Svalbard provides an affordable base for exploring the archipelago. Guests can bring their own gear or rent specially designed cold- and wind-proof tents, comfortable sleeping mats, and warm sleeping bags at reasonable prices. The common room features ample seating, a sofa for relaxation, and a fully equipped double kitchen with pots, pans, coffee makers, kettles, and cutlery. Large windows and a wall of glass offer spectacular views, complemented by a high-power monocular and binoculars. The atmosphere is peaceful and respectful, with most guests traveling solo and maintaining a quiet environment. Bathrooms are clean and well-maintained; showers cost 10 NOK (about 0.80 EUR), but a free alternative is a dip in the fjord. The staff is excellent, and the kitchen is superbly equipped and spotless. The overall vibe is like being at home. The only downside is the lack of Wi-Fi, though this did not bother most visitors. The campsite is especially suitable for families and those seeking tranquility.
