While the immediate area around Sparkford is not particularly interesting, the wider region of Dorset and Somerset offers many attractions. It is a transit campsite for those heading to Devon and Cornwall, but a longer stay is worthwhile if you take the initiative to engage with the friendly managers. Pleasant landscapes and villages are within cycling distance, and it serves as a good base for visits to Glastonbury, Bath, and Wells. The busy A-road behind the campsite is being relocated and fitted with quiet asphalt, which will further reduce the already minimal traffic noise.
