The historic old town with its impressive fortifications is reachable on foot via a scenic lakeside path, and a recommended pizzeria sits right at the entrance. However, the campsite is located quite far from the town center, and GPS navigation systems may not have the correct address, potentially causing misdirection. The season ends in late September, which could limit extended stays. While the staff is often described as friendly and helpful, and the site is kept clean and well-maintained, there have been significant declines in recent years. By 2025, the shower and washing areas were in poor condition, with dirt from the previous year still present. Waste management became a major issue, and dog waste was reportedly flattened rather than properly cleaned. Nighttime noise from late-night activities and machinery has been a recurring complaint, and one incident involved a tractor spraying water that created a dangerous situation, with the owner allegedly refusing to complete an accident form. Additional charges apply for showers, the swimming pool, and sports facilities like the tennis court. The pitches can be very sandy and dusty. Basic supplies like toilet paper and soap have been reported missing in sanitary blocks, even in 2024, which disappoints for a site claiming a four-star rating. Internet access is only available for an extra fee, adding to costs. The pool may remain closed in mid-June, and the lake can be too cold for swimming at that time. Long-term visitors have expressed regret, citing overall neglect as the reason for their departure. Entertainment is provided for all ages and is consistently appreciated by returning guests, and the restaurant offers enjoyable meals from the menu and daily specials. Despite its appealing location, the campsite's declining facilities and poor value for money leave many feeling it matches only a two-star experience.
