This campsite offers the undeniable advantage of being right next to Legoland, making it a convenient base for families visiting the theme park. Yet beyond that prime location, the experience is increasingly mixed. Recent visitors note the site has lost some of its former charm, with aging infrastructure and inconsistent service. The natural surroundings are still praised as beautiful and serene, providing a pleasant backdrop after a busy day at the park. However, the facilities are showing their age and could be much cleaner, particularly the toilet blocks which are too small for the campground's size. The cleaning schedule is inconvenient, sometimes closing entire blocks at once. Showers are also in need of an upgrade. The on-site supermarket sells basic bread and drinks but at inflated prices, with one visitor reporting a small morning snack cost €35. The pirate buffet restaurant is overpriced and serves mediocre food. Pitch boundaries are poorly marked, leading to a disorganized layout, while some pitches suffer from excessive shade and damp ground. Airplane noise from the nearby Billund airport is a constant nuisance, even at night. Reception can be slow and staff sometimes reluctant to solve problems, though alternative pitches were eventually offered after negotiation. The Lego theme is disappointingly minimal, with just a few statues and standard cottages. For those prioritizing proximity to Legoland above all else, this campground works, but for a well-rounded camping experience, other Danish options may be a better choice.
