However, the campsite has a tired appearance in places and is dominated by privately owned static caravans and chalets. Practical shortcomings include the lack of fresh water connections at pitches and no dedicated motorhome sanitary disposal point. Toilet and shower blocks are clean and modern, but guests must bring their own toilet paper and soap. Electric hookups are sometimes shared via a central extension reel rather than individual connections. The lake on site has been described as murky and unappealing. There is little on-site entertainment, which may bore teenagers on longer stays. Dogs are welcome, though one family reported conflict over pets and children exploring.
