This campsite is set within a working apple orchard and farm, offering a peaceful, rural backdrop where fruit trees provide shade and a sense of privacy. The relaxed, chilled atmosphere makes it ideal for unwinding after a day of exploring nearby Omaha Beach, museums, and the American Cemetery. Pitches are level and spacious, allowing plenty of room for caravans, motorhomes, and tents. Electric hookups are available, though they predominantly use UK-style connections, so European adapters may be needed. The on-site farm shop is a standout feature, selling the property's own cidre, calvados, beer, juice, jams, and other local produce that guests consistently praise. The hosts and staff are widely described as friendly, polite, and helpful, creating a welcoming environment. A large, friendly Labrador that roams the property adds a charming, homey touch. Booking and payment are straightforward, and check-in is uncomplicated even when staff are not immediately on site. However, the shower system requires holding down a button for brief bursts of water, which many find frustrating, and toilet roll is sometimes not provided. Cleanliness of the sanitary block draws mixed reviews, with some finding them adequate while others report issues. There is no facility for emptying chemical toilets, and a separate washing-up area is lacking. Severe waterlogging and muddy ground after rain can make parking difficult and unpleasant, with one visitor leaving immediately to avoid getting stuck. When the ground is wet, the site can feel deserted, and staff response to complaints has been inconsistent. Despite these drawbacks, the reasonable pricing—especially out of season—combined with the excellent local products and quiet orchard setting make this a memorable stop for those prioritizing location and atmosphere.
