The sunsets are particularly beautiful, casting a golden glow over the sea and town. Its hillside location provides an excellent base for exploring San Sebastián and Bilbao, with a regular bus service connecting to Zarautz station and beyond. A pleasant walk down a long staircase (around 439 steps) leads directly to the town's lovely promenade, bars, and restaurants. Surfers are drawn to the area for the excellent waves, giving the campsite a relaxed, laid-back vibe. The staff, particularly at reception, are consistently described as friendly, professional, and helpful, even when welcoming guests without reservations. Sanitary facilities are generally spacious and clean, often cleaned multiple times daily, with modern showers and toilets that meet expectations. The campsite provides a good service station for campers, with proper separation of grey and black water disposal points. A small shop sells basics like fresh baguettes, croissants, and some groceries, though prices can be high and stock limited. Free WiFi works reliably in many areas, a welcome bonus for travelers, though signal strength can vary. On-site amenities include a gym with cardio equipment, a multi-gym, and a sauna, all free of charge, plus an indoor play area for children. Dogs are welcome, and there is a pleasant walking path to the beach directly from the campsite. The site is open year-round, which is a plus for off-season travelers. However, the campsite's layout is extremely cramped, with pitches that are often small (around 50–60 m²), forcing campers to choose between parking their car or pitching an awning. Larger motorhomes and caravans may fit with careful planning, but the tow vehicle often must be parked in a separate lot near the entrance. The hillside topography means some pitches require parking the car away from the unit, and maneuvering large vehicles through narrow internal roads can be challenging. Access roads are good, with a new asphalt road leading to the site, but the final hairpin turn near reception can be tricky when cars are haphazardly parked. Noise can be a problem, with constant chatter from neighboring pitches, dog barking, and a general lack of tranquility, especially during surf weekends.
