This small, family-run campsite near the medieval village of Sainte-Suzanne is consistently praised for its warm hospitality, cleanliness, and peaceful atmosphere. The owners, Elfie and Arnaud, are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The site is spotlessly clean, with well-maintained sanitary facilities cleaned multiple times daily. Pitches are spacious, level, and often separated by hedges for privacy, set in a green environment. A standout feature is complimentary access to the adjacent heated municipal swimming pool with a slide, though it is seasonal and closed on Mondays. The campsite has a small shop selling local produce, wine, beer, and snacks, and fresh bread and croissants can be ordered for breakfast. Guests enjoy unique services such as pizza delivery to the pitch, a small bar serving local products, artisan ice creams, and a book exchange. The location is ideal, within a short walk to the medieval hilltop town, offering stunning scenery, hiking trails, and a glimpse into medieval France. The area is noted for its quietness at night, making it perfect for a restful getaway. Some guests note that the push-button showers require constant pressing, WiFi is limited, and there is no grey water disposal for motorhomes. A few mention occasional roadside noise, but overall the atmosphere remains tranquil. The ground can be very hard for tent pegs, and some guests question value for money, but many express a desire to return. Overall, this welcoming site offers excellent value in a calm setting and is highly recommended for nature and history lovers.
