Nestled in a forest near Windischeschenbach, this campsite offers a serene escape with the Schweinenaab stream flowing through it, accessible via a quaint bridge. The site features a charming covered beer garden built over a raft, creating a unique social hub. Divided into two sections, the cozy circular layout is reached by a woodland path, adding to the rustic feel. Children delight in the petting zoo and play barn, providing hands-on fun. Adults can savor regional specialties like Zoigl beer and homemade cakes at the on-site inn. A farm shop sells local products, while more shopping is available 2 km away. The surrounding Oberpfalz region, with gentle hills, dense forests, and dormant volcanoes, is perfect for hiking and cycling. Some guests felt the pricing was too high for what was offered. The swimming pond, however, was neglected and overgrown with algae. Sanitary facilities were clean and well-maintained. The terrace provided a pleasant spot for relaxation. Overall, the campsite excels in natural beauty and local charm but has room for improvement in value and maintenance.
