This Danish campsite has a split personality: earlier visits charmed guests into falling in love with the country, yet recent reports show a sharp decline in quality. The setting remains stunning, with spacious pitches and a prime lakeside location perfect for cycling and exploring local culture and history. Families have enjoyed stays here in the past, particularly with children, and the natural surroundings are certainly inviting. However, the magic has faded for many. Sanitary facilities at the top of the site feel outdated, while two mobile sanitation units near the lake are poorly cleaned and become hazardous when wet due to slippery steps. The main washroom building is not cleaned daily, making access difficult for young children and elderly guests. Billing disputes and unfriendly treatment at checkout have left a sour taste, with guests feeling the price does not match the value on offer. The cost appears driven largely by amenities like the swimming pool and sauna, which overshadow the core camping experience. While the lake access and pitch size remain highlights, the deteriorating cleanliness and staff interactions are hard to ignore. This campsite may still appeal to those prioritizing location over service, but recent experiences suggest caution.
