Mature oak trees provide ample shade, while the natural setting and helpful team make it a pleasant spot for a simple outdoor stay. Guests consistently praise the breathtaking scenery, which serves as a stunning backdrop for relaxation. The site is off-grid and eco-friendly, with solar-powered lighting and gas hobs in a cute hut. Facilities include well-maintained compost toilets and showers with good hot water pressure, and the cleanliness is commendable. Pitches are spacious, level, and offer a good mix of shade and sunny spots. A communal fire pit and charming touches like a red phone box book exchange and a swing add to the cozy atmosphere. Guests feel very safe, including solo female campers, and enjoy the privacy afforded by the limited number of pitches. However, part of the site sits beneath large electric pylons, which may affect the vista or create a faint buzzing noise. The access road is narrow and can be tricky to navigate with large vehicles, and the site is not well signposted. Composting toilets, while meticulously maintained, may not suit everyone due to their design and occasional strong smell. Showers can be temperamental, and on windy days the cubicles can let in drafts.
