The family-run site, now in its third generation, is renowned for its exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and often remember returning guests by name. Cleanliness is a standout feature, with sanitary facilities described as spotless and well-maintained, though some older blocks show their age and could benefit from renovation. The pitches are large, level, and often shaded by trees, providing a good sense of privacy and natural beauty. The site boasts an impressive array of amenities, including multiple swimming pools with a slide, several playgrounds, mini golf, trampolines, sports fields, a fishing lake, and a small animal farm with deer and chickens. Children are wonderfully catered for with a kids' club, pedal go-karts, and a packed schedule of activities that keep young guests engaged throughout their stay. The surrounding woodlands offer excellent cycling and walking routes, making it an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts. On-site dining is limited to a snack bar serving pizza, fries, and hamburger rolls, and the chip shop has received criticism for serving old, discolored fries. The small shop stocks fresh bread daily but has a very limited selection and is considered overpriced by many guests. For more extensive shopping, the nearby village of Vessem is within walking distance. Some guests note that showers require 50-cent coins for a timed session, which can be inconvenient, and that water pressure or temperature can be inconsistent. The campsite has a noticeable number of permanent residents, which creates a mixed atmosphere; while most are friendly, some are less socially adept, and occasional late-night noise or early-morning traffic can disrupt the peace. Free WiFi is available but can be unreliable, especially in more wooded areas. Dogs are welcome, though there is no dedicated off-leash area or swimming pond for pets. The location is excellent for exploring Eindhoven and surrounding regions, and a historical path related to WWII paratroopers adds cultural interest. Overall, this campsite delivers a memorable and activity-packed holiday in a clean, natural setting, though minor drawbacks in catering and facility age prevent it from being flawless.
