Nestled among chestnut trees, this campsite offers a wonderfully peaceful rural setting with lovely views and easy access to historic sites and a charming local town with bars and restaurants. The location is very good, though it's a bit far from the village for a walk along the road. Guests consistently praise the staff for being friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making check-in smooth and stays pleasant. The site features two lovely swimming pools that remain clean and never too crowded, perfect for a relaxing swim. An on-site restaurant serves good, reasonably priced meals. Recent refurbishments have improved facilities, with clean toilets and the addition of a washing machine and tumble dryer. However, the campsite can look scruffy and untidy, partly due to its eco-credentials and seasonal maintenance. The toilet block has only three toilets and three showers shared between genders, which can feel limited. Pitches and internal roads are poorly signposted, and some pitches have significant unevenness. Bathroom cleanliness is inconsistent, with some guests reporting very clean facilities while others describe poor cleaning. The showers have slippery floors, and some guests noted a need for more maintenance on the refurbished bathrooms. There is no bar or restaurant open during certain times, and the on-site shop stock is very limited. WiFi is not great, and the site offers little to do, especially in low season. Some guests found the overall value disappointing and encountered problems with reception staff upon arrival.
