Nestled along the banks of the Moselle River, this campsite has earned a stellar reputation over decades as one of the most beautiful in the region. Its prime location offers guests stunning river views and a tranquil, scenic setting that feels worlds away from the road. The young, enthusiastic team works tirelessly to create a homelike atmosphere, consistently praised for being exceptionally friendly, helpful, and polite. Many families return year after year, some for over 20 years, often spending nearly every weekend on site. The campsite is notably family-friendly, welcoming groups with seniors, children, and grandchildren alike. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the easy access to cycling routes and hiking trails, with charming towns like Cochem and Bullay just a short bus ride away. While the facilities are simple and clean, with good showers, guests note that the sanitary blocks are in need of renovation and more thorough cleaning. A notable drawback is the lack of a lower-level sanitary block due to winter flood risk, and the stairs to the facilities can be challenging for those with mobility issues. The on-site restaurant offers a limited menu and is often closed, though a pleasant terrace bar and a good snack bar 50 meters away provide alternatives. WiFi is weak and unreliable. Pitches are spacious, especially the front-row spots with direct Moselle views, but some are far from toilets. Despite minor drawbacks, the peaceful atmosphere, outstanding hospitality, and excellent value for money leave guests planning their return visits.
