Nestled in a serene corner of Germany, this campsite boasts spacious, meticulously maintained pitches bordered by lush greenery, creating a naturally private retreat. The centerpiece is a lovely swimming pond, perfect for cooling off on warm days. The staff have earned a reputation for their exceptional friendliness and flexibility, often going out of their way to fulfill guests' wishes. The overall cleanliness of the property is commendable, with visitors noting its well-kept appearance. However, the experience is marred by a sense of poor value for money, as many find the pricing steep for what is offered. Electricity costs are singled out as particularly excessive, with an unusual connection fee adding to the expenses. The facilities, especially the showers and toilets, show their age and suffer from limited capacity; a large group once had to share just two toilets and a single shower. The shower layout offers little privacy, as it is tucked into an anteroom without separation. Temperature control in the showers is non-adjustable, and hot water is only available at restricted times, requiring patience. Management issues have also surfaced, with an outdated reservation system failing to honor pre-booked accommodations, leading to unsatisfactory alternatives like a moldy old caravan. The buildings themselves appear dated, and some guests sensitive to odors may find them off-putting. Noise levels can be high when large groups of young people are present, though this may not be a constant issue. The campsite's location is undeniably beautiful and peaceful for the most part, offering a quiet escape. Yet, the administrative shortcomings and inconsistent amenities create a mixed experience. While the natural setting and pitch layout are standout features, the campsite would greatly benefit from modernization and a more guest-oriented pricing policy.
