This lakeside campsite on the Templiner See offers a superb location for exploring both nature and the cultural attractions of Potsdam and Berlin, with easy access via bicycle paths, shuttle services, and the S-Bahn. Its setting is ideal for water sports enthusiasts, with direct lake access, a small beach, and a sunbathing platform. The sanitary facilities are consistently praised as among the best guests have ever seen, often described as luxurious, spacious, and spotlessly clean, rivaling high-end hotel bathrooms. The on-site restaurant receives high marks for its tasty dishes and friendly service, though many find the prices high. A small grocery shop adds convenience for self-catering. While the staff are frequently commended for being friendly, helpful, and customer-oriented, the campsite has significant drawbacks. The pitches are a major pain point, often described as very small, cramped, and tightly packed, with neighbors nearly touching and uneven, sandy or black-sand surfaces. Noise can be an issue due to a public bicycle and pedestrian path cutting through the site, as well as traffic from the access road and falling acorns from oak trees. WiFi connectivity is poor or requires an additional fee, and standard electric hook-ups are only 6 amps. The campsite has a very strict atmosphere, especially after 9 PM, and some guests have experienced unfriendly or authoritative behavior from staff, particularly towards children and dogs near the beach area. The original dog beach was converted into a bar, leaving an unappealing alternative. Families appreciate the children's animation program and playground, but the beach is small. Dogs are generally welcomed with waste bag dispensers. The overall experience presents a stark contrast between top-notch cleanliness and luxury facilities on one hand and cramped, noisy, and somewhat overpriced pitches on the other, making it a polarizing choice for a relaxing stay.
