This campsite offers a wonderfully beautiful setting with a stream or brook you can walk into, though it's shallow and you'll want water shoes due to stones on the bottom. The spot feels very private and free, with a great sense of spaciousness. Essential amenities like a washing machine and dryer are available on-site. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and scenic, making it a lovely base for relaxation. The hosts, Els and Dirk Vermeulen, are clearly dedicated to maintaining a welcoming environment. The combination of natural water access and home comforts makes for a memorable stay. The campsite is nestled in a beautiful walking area, making it a great base for outdoor enthusiasts. The staff are friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive atmosphere. Guests can expect very clean and new sanitary facilities, which are a highlight of the stay. However, the site is located directly across from a river, and noise from the nearby street can be a drawback. The setting offers access to scenic trails, but the road noise may disturb those seeking complete tranquility. Overall, it provides a comfortable and well-maintained environment for a nature-focused trip. Pitches are along a stream, but the experience is mixed due to inconsistent maintenance and cleanliness. The reception was closed upon arrival despite expected hours, and the site is situated next to a holiday home park that feels neglected. The sanitary building, though appearing clean, had a very unpleasant odor in the men's toilet, likely from stored items. The camping field itself is basic, with electricity and water, but unfortunately covered in dog and goose droppings, which is a major drawback. There are no marked touring pitches, so you choose your own spot on a meadow beside the Wied river. Positive aspects include friendly reception, good possibilities for walking and cycling along the river, and that dogs can be let off-leash and swim nearby. Sanitary facilities are described as beautiful and clean, but some campers report a long walk to reach them.
