Waking to a beautiful sunrise over the water remains a daily highlight, and the setting is fundamentally relaxing. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering insider tips on scenic viewpoints and conducting check-ins with a pleasant, French-speaking welcome. Sanitary facilities are remarkably clean and functional, cleaned day and night, with convenient smaller toilet units scattered around, though they are not accessible for those with reduced mobility. The entire site is generally well-maintained and peaceful, with beautifully maintained pitches offering both shaded and sunny options. A wonderful restaurant housed in a boathouse serves delicious food and drinks at fair prices, while a handy on-site shop provides fresh rolls, basics, and excellent bread for easy self-catering. Children will enjoy the playground and water activities like renting pedal boats, SUP boards, and kayaks, although these rentals are pricey at €4 per half hour. The natural, quiet atmosphere used to make it a truly relaxing retreat, highly recommended for a serene lakeside camping experience. However, the campsite's layout has drawn recent criticism for its lack of designated pitches, allowing new arrivals to choose any spot. This open policy frequently leads to overcrowding, with vehicles placed so close together that neighbors may end up right outside your van. The resulting density can make the stay feel cramped and uncomfortable, detracting from the overall camping experience. While the approach offers flexibility for spontaneous arrivals, it often compromises personal space and tranquility. The haphazard placement suggests a need for better organization to balance guest freedom with comfort.
