Camping Wedderbergen is a beautiful and enjoyable campsite with a tidy sanitary building that is cleaned thoroughly multiple times a day. The pitches are spacious, but it is advisable to contact the campsite in advance because some pitches have trees that may not accommodate a medium to large caravan with an awning. During the high season, there is plenty of activities and the campsite actively uses its own app for communication and engagement. The overall atmosphere is pleasant and family-friendly, with well-maintained facilities. The location offers a good balance of nature and comfort, making it suitable for a relaxing stay. The owners are welcoming and especially attentive to children's needs, with plenty of activities for kids. However, the site can be very crowded and overpriced according to some guests. The single bathroom facility is insufficient, leading to long queues for showers and toilets, and frequent blockages. The swimming pool is disappointing, with too few showers and changing cabins. The indoor play area is mostly empty with a small play section inadequate for the number of children. Hygiene is poor, and groundwater pumping caused bacterial infections after a power outage. Customer service is unhelpful and unaccountable. On a positive note, the campsite is located by the Lahn river with a boat dock, large pitches that you can choose freely, and many nearby attractions. A family of four visited for the first time, booking a pitch with private sanitary facilities, and found the pitch spacious and the private sanitary very nice. The animation program is diverse and informative, with daily activities for all ages, well coordinated via the app. The children's play options are extensive, featuring an amazing indoor playground and a cool water playground with many features. The indoor pool is nicely designed with a great slide and can be opened to connect indoor and outdoor areas. The site is well-maintained by visible staff. There is a small shop, an ice cream parlor, and a restaurant. The campsite is quiet, with little road noise. Negatives include a 1.50 euro fee per garbage container opening, which many campers consider excessive given the site's price. Dog waste bags can be disposed of in special bins, but there are none for children's diapers. The restaurant is very expensive. The pitch became very muddy despite no rain for two days, suggesting poor ground conditions. Cleanliness was disappointing: the indoor playground was dirty and dusty, and items at the water playground were left from the previous day. The campsite is also suitable for grandparents visiting with grandchildren, offering spacious, well-maintained shower facilities that guests appreciate. The positive mention of the showers indicates good cleanliness and comfort. The timing of the visit in late April to early May suggests pleasant conditions for camping.
