Nestled in the scenic Noorderplassen nature reserve, this campsite has undergone notable changes, including a relocation to a new spot that guests should verify. Its location is a standout, offering serene surroundings and excellent access to cycling and walking paths, with Almere and other attractions nearby. Pitches are generally spacious, with some offering panoramic water views, though premium pricing for these spots is debated. Facilities are only a few years old, but maintenance has been inconsistent over the years, with cleanliness and upkeep receiving mixed feedback. Sanitary facilities are modern but could benefit from more frequent cleaning; during busy periods, once-daily cleaning is insufficient, and some report spiderwebs or cold showers. The playground is basic and lacks shade, while the swimming beach is plagued by geese droppings, making it unappealing. The on-site restaurant and snack bar have very limited hours and were sometimes unavailable, disappointing guests. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though occasional unhelpful interactions occur. Wi-Fi is essentially non-existent at the pitch, which is a drawback for some given the price level. Noise can be an issue with open-top toilet cabins and loud neighboring families. Value for money is a major concern, with many feeling the campsite is overpriced given the condition of facilities and services. Inconsistent pitch assignments have also been reported. Despite these issues, many guests appreciate the peaceful setting and find it suitable for short visits, with a strong desire to return in the most recent year due to excellent cleanliness and friendly staff.
