Perched along the Salerno coastline, this campsite has built a solid reputation over three decades, though recent years reveal a tale of two experiences. Guests consistently highlight the warm, family-oriented atmosphere and the exceptional friendliness of the staff, who go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The site boasts three swimming pools that cater to all ages, a children's playground, and spacious pitches that offer a perfect blend of sun and shade, making it ideal for families with kids. The location is superb, just a ten-minute stroll from the sea, and surrounded by a refreshing pine forest that provides natural shade and tranquility. However, the facilities have seen a dramatic decline in recent seasons, with repeated complaints about dirty, poorly lit sanitary blocks, toilets that do not flush, and showers with weak, timer-controlled jets and inconsistent hot water. Guests have reported a pervasive unpleasant smell around the shower buildings, broken locks on doors, and even pests in the shower area, making basic hygiene a serious concern. Internet and mobile phone coverage are virtually nonexistent, forcing visitors to disconnect completely. The on-site shop has been criticized for limited stock, a lack of fresh produce, and occasional unfriendliness, often requiring a 9-kilometer drive for essentials. Noise can also be an issue, with late-night gatherings of youngsters disturbing the peace. The swimming pool, while a redeeming feature, has restricted hours and occasional closures during hot afternoons, and the pool kiosk often remains closed. In low season, only a few washrooms are open, and they suffer from poor water pressure and temperature. Maintenance appears neglected, with overdue repairs and a lack of pest control, especially early in the season when the site seems to open before it is fully ready. The beach shuttle only starts in July, and early guests have found the beach dirty and unprepared. Despite these drawbacks, the spacious pitches, lush greenery, and genuinely caring staff create a pleasant backdrop for campers who can manage without modern amenities. For those prioritizing a scenic, sprawling spot and a friendly welcome over pristine facilities, this site still offers a genuine taste of coastal camping.
