This campsite enjoys a stunning hilltop position with beautiful panoramic views stretching over rolling countryside and all the way to the sea, making it a memorable place to stay. It is managed by friendly Dutch staff, who are described as warm and welcoming, and guests consistently praise the exceptionally friendly and helpful team. The on-site restaurant serves delicious food, with pizza and fresh meals receiving particular compliments, and boasts a terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside. A spacious swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers is a popular highlight, offering a refreshing option for relaxation. The surrounding area is quiet and rural, creating a relaxing atmosphere, especially during quieter periods like late September. Small local villages and a large supermarket are just a short drive away, while a lovely sandy beach can be reached in around 15 minutes by car. A shared pedestrian and cycle path leads easily into the charming town of Bardolino, adding to the convenience and appeal. The terrain features well-terraced, level pitches that provide ample space and lovely views. However, the sanitary facilities are a significant drawback: they are clean but noticeably outdated with very small showers and old fixtures, clearly needing a major renovation. While hot water for showers is solar-powered, it can be unreliable on cooler days when solar panels are less effective. Electricity hookups are being updated, but some older connections may still be inconsistent. Access to the site involves a steep road with tight hairpin turns that could use improvement, and inside the campsite, the stairs connecting the pitches to the reception and toilet blocks are described as run-down. The campsite grounds themselves have a somewhat neglected feel, with overgrown green areas and a damaged tennis court fence that detracts from the setting. Despite these infrastructure issues, the location and views are considered strong enough to compensate. During high season, the campsite can feel very crowded, but outside of peak season, the atmosphere is quiet and almost empty. Overall, the combination of a great location, friendly service, good food, and a pool makes this a positive choice, though the aging infrastructure and challenging access are worth noting.
