Camping Vik is a seaside campsite in the village of Vik, nestled in the scenic Sogn og Fjordane region of Norway. It sits at a low altitude of just three meters above sea level, with the ocean as a constant companion. The grounds span 1.5 hectares and offer 40 touring pitches, each measuring between 80 and 100 square meters, providing ample space for caravans, motorhomes, and tents. These pitches come in two varieties: some are fully exposed to the sun, while others enjoy partial shade from surrounding vegetation. For those seeking a roof overhead, the campsite also rents out hikers' cabins and bungalows or chalets, making it a flexible base for different travel styles. The property is located right next to a sandy beach, where guests can stroll, relax, or take in views of the fjord. This beach access is one of the site’s standout features, inviting easy dips and shoreline walks. The campsite operates from May 10 through September 30 each year, so it is currently closed during the off-season. An annual inspection by ACSI ensures that facilities, cleanliness, and service meet consistent quality standards. The inspector, Mr. H. Sybesma, visits every year and evaluates the campsite against more than 200 points. Guide prices for a standard pitch start at around €25.60 to €27.30, reflecting a moderate cost for the amenities provided. Note that the campsite is not labeled as suitable for guests with disabilities, and it is not a naturist facility. Overall, Camping Vik offers a straightforward, beach-adjacent camping experience with both open and partly shaded spots, plus rental accommodations for added convenience.
