The surrounding area is perfect for cycling, and you can enjoy shady café stops along the way. On-site, a restaurant with a lake view serves tasty cappuccinos, while the shop stocks daily essentials and fresh pastries like croissants for breakfast. The staff are notably friendly and warm, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The swimming pool is simple but ideally located, enhancing the overall experience. The campsite is very quiet and ideal for a restorative stay. This family-run campsite features a lovely location on the shores of Lake Idro, surrounded by trees and shrubs that provide plenty of shade even in midsummer. The leafy surroundings mean that low-hanging branches can make access tricky for large motorhomes. The general infrastructure is modest, though a small on-site restaurant and a basic shop with bread-to-order service cover the essentials. Guests note that the sanitary blocks are dated yet kept clean. The site was very busy during some visits, with limited space for big campers, but the Dutch-speaking hostess was flexible and arranged temporary spots. Pitches are not suitable for large motorhomes or oversized vehicles. The area has limited commercial development and few tourists, making it feel quiet and off the beaten path during the week. However, weekends can be quite noisy due to large groups of motorcyclists revving their engines along the lakeside road.
