This campsite has seen a dramatic decline over recent years, transforming from a basic but functional spot into an overcrowded and dusty expanse. The restaurant is closed every Tuesday, which can disrupt midweek dining plans, and the swimming pool is far too small for the number of guests, leading to constant crowding. With only six or seven barbecues for around 224 pitches, securing a grill during peak times is a challenge. The on-site supermarket is poorly stocked compared to the one in nearby Pedras Negras, so guests often head into town for better supplies. Laundry facilities consist of just one old washing machine and a dryer, causing long waits. Seasonal guests face extra daily charges based on actual electricity usage, which can catch budgets off guard. The layout is extremely cramped, with tiny concrete pitches separated only by plastic rather than natural greenery, creating a parking-lot feel. Private sanitary facilities on each pitch are made of metal, described by some as resembling an open-air prison, and the lack of vegetation kills any sense of privacy. Recent additions have led to severe overcrowding, with an unpaved lot accommodating over a thousand cars and motorhomes. The area has become a dusty, stressful environment, where dust fills the air even while speaking. The uncontrolled overnight parking has created a chaotic and unhygienic atmosphere. What was once a pleasant campsite is now overwhelmed by sheer visitor numbers, and management's focus on volume seems to have compromised the overall experience. The environment feels more like a dusty parking lot than a relaxing getaway, and the lack of space makes a comfortable stay nearly impossible. Many basic amenities are stretched thin, and the site would require major upgrades to recover its former charm.
