Set directly on the shores of Lake Walchsee, this campground offers a picture‑perfect alpine backdrop and the convenience of the village just minutes away. A Spar supermarket is a short walk (150–200 metres) from the site, and the on‑site restaurant features a rooftop terrace with sweeping views and affordable, solid meals. The sanitary blocks are modern and spotlessly clean, and the staff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. For active visitors, hiking and cycling trails begin right at the campground, and the lake provides easy access for swimming and relaxation. During quieter periods, the atmosphere remains peaceful and uncrowded. However, the motorhome pitches have drawn criticism for feeling more like parking spots along a public road than proper campsite spaces. They are notably small, requiring careful manoeuvring to fit a caravan and small tents, and electrical hook‑ups are limited – only four power points serving roughly nine pitches. This cramped, roadside‑style layout may disappoint campers expecting spacious, integrated camping. Despite these layout drawbacks, the beautiful lakeside setting, excellent cleanliness, and friendly staff leave a strong overall positive impression, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
