This campsite offers pure relaxation with a beautiful location overlooking the Elbe estuary, protected by a dyke. The natural setting is enhanced by varied vegetation, and the nearby town of Bad Otterndorf is a lovely bonus. The site features a lake with a sunbathing lawn right next to it, where numerous leisure activities are available, including a water ski facility. A lakeside eatery serves good-quality food in a rustic style. The wash houses are exceptionally clean and well-maintained, contributing to the overall cleanliness of the site. Reception staff are described as top-notch, very friendly, and competent. For dog owners, the grounds are kept free of mess, adding to the pleasant experience. Some visitors note that closing both sanitary buildings for cleaning at 9:15 AM seems inconvenient for experienced campers. This campsite is a wonderful choice for families, especially those who enjoy water sports like swimming. Children will find the activities offered on the lake particularly exciting. Guests can choose to spend their day at either the sea or the lake, making it a versatile destination. The site is also dog-friendly and boasts a huge range of sports facilities. For rainy days, there is a play barn to keep everyone entertained. The site's location along the Elbe river provides constant activity and scenic views, with opportunities for walks along the dike where you can see sheep and cows, or for cycling trips to Cuxhaven. There is also a dedicated dog-free area on the campsite, and the grounds are described as very well-maintained and super clean throughout. The sanitary facilities, while a bit older, are kept exceptionally clean. It is a great destination for families with children, featuring a beautiful swimming lake perfect for a dip or a small boat ride through the water park. However, some find the site too lively, even at night, which can disturb sleep. The sanitary facilities have some drawbacks: the men's urinals lack partitions and only cold water is available, while all hand dryers are broken. There are too few washing-up basins, especially since everyone must leave the pitch by 11 am, causing a rush. Mobile reception is nonexistent—calls drop—and free wifi is only available at reception, 350 meters away, with very limited bandwidth. Overall, the campsite offers a clean stay but suffers from poor infrastructure and connectivity.
