Nestled on the shores of Schliersee, this campsite enjoys a phenomenal location that serves as a gateway to hiking, cycling, and water sports. The surrounding area is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, with direct access to a bike path and numerous excursion opportunities. Since new ownership took over, the staff have been consistently praised for their exceptional friendliness and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. They actively seek feedback and go out of their way to find individual solutions, creating a welcoming and caring atmosphere. The on-site restaurant is a highlight, serving excellent homemade pizzas and offering a daily food truck for variety. A breakfast roll service is also available, starting from 8 a.m. The lakeside position allows for easy swimming and stand-up paddleboarding, enhancing the holiday experience. Many guests become repeat visitors, drawn back by the high quality and personal touch. However, the campsite struggles with significant drawbacks. The most pervasive issue is the extreme train noise, with loud horns sounding from early morning until midnight, severely impacting sleep. Pitches are very small and tightly packed without separation, limiting privacy and space for awnings. The sanitary facilities are a major point of criticism: they are cramped, poorly ventilated, often dirty, and flooded with standing water. The number of showers is grossly inadequate for the crowd, especially as they are shared with day visitors using the beach. Despite the excellent service and location, many guests feel the high prices do not reflect the poor value, especially concerning the facilities. The site could be a true paradise if it addresses its infrastructure needs and noise challenges.
