A campsite perched at the mouth of the Miño River near Santa Tecla mountain, offering sweeping views of the river and Portugal in the distance. It is an exceptionally large site where everything is neatly organized and well-run. The location right at the border with Portugal makes it a convenient stop for travelers crossing between countries. The surrounding area offers plenty of interesting sights, with charming villages and cozy restaurants nearby. A ferry across the river provides direct access to Portugal, making it a highly recommended base for exploring both countries. Within a short drive, the Castro mountain with its archaeological museum and the Castle of Santa Cruz provide worthwhile excursions. The site features a spacious swimming pool with a sunbathing lawn, alongside a good restaurant and a small shop. The sanitary facilities are exceptionally well-maintained and kept clean. Guests consistently praise the large, clean pitches and the stunning backdrop of the river mouth and sea. It is primarily a family-friendly destination, offering ample freedom to choose your pitch with plenty of options available. The staff is noted for excellent service and a welcoming attitude, though recent reports indicate reception staff can be arrogant and unhelpful. The campsite feels dated and overpriced for what it offers, with poor value for money. The overall value is poor, as the high prices do not match the outdated facilities and service quality. Cycling from the campsite leads to beautiful small beaches and a boardwalk along the sea. The old narrow bridge leading to Portugal is a recommended short trip. The site is ideal for those who appreciate tranquility and nature.
