Nestled at the edge of Lake Annecy and surrounded by tree-covered mountains, this campsite boasts a spectacular natural setting with direct access to swimming, water sports, and walking trails in a nearby nature reserve. It serves as an excellent base for cycling and paragliding adventures. Despite its prime location, the campsite has seen far better days since its early-2000s prime and now feels sparse and lacking in charm. The vast majority—roughly 90%—of the site is now occupied by holiday homes rather than touring pitches, leaving the remaining pitches notably cramped and small. Recent guest experiences consistently highlight significant hygiene and maintenance shortcomings. The sanitary facilities are described as dirty, worn-out, and lacking basic essentials such as soap and toilet paper. The playground is much smaller than pictured, with worn-out bouncy castles that disappoint families. The so-called beach access leads to a small, overcrowded urban patch that quickly becomes unclean in sunny weather. The on-site shop is overpriced, and the chemical toilet disposal point is worryingly exposed. The only redeeming mention is the water play area, which offers some respite. Visitors arriving in 2025 may find the experience especially disappointing compared to past visits, as the once-verdant setting has become much more modest. Value for money is very poor given the deteriorated facilities and cramped pitches. The campsite is clearly past its prime and geared more toward static holiday homes than touring guests. Travelers seeking a clean, spacious, and well-maintained lakeside retreat should look elsewhere.
