This campsite in Castellane, near the Verdon Gorge, offers a beautiful setting along the river with easy access to town. However, it suffers from serious operational and maintenance problems. Sanitary facilities are in poor condition: one block is closed, another lacks hot water, and the only usable block has broken showers, no hooks, empty soap dispensers, and wet toilet floors. The tent area has no lighting at night, making bathroom visits hazardous. The restaurant and snack bar close on Sundays. The management has been criticized for handling cancellations poorly, re-renting booked accommodations without notice and refusing refunds even with insurance. Cleanliness standards are low, with infrequent and superficial cleaning. The site is geared toward chalet and glamping guests, leaving tent campers neglected. Road noise from motorcycles is occasionally bothersome. The pool is a positive feature, but a broken water slide goes unrepaired for weeks. Despite high prices, the infrastructure is poorly maintained, especially for tent campers. The campsite may suit families with young children, but others may feel overcharged. Guests should be cautious about booking terms and insurance. The beautiful location cannot compensate for the lack of customer service and cleanliness. The overall experience is disappointing for the price.
