Yet, the site struggles to live up to its five-star billing, with visitors reporting lukewarm or cold showers, dirty sanitary blocks, and a distinct lack of hot water. A major letdown is the swimming pool—the promised heated and covered facility is absent, with very cold water and a slippery tiled floor that poses a genuine hazard; a child was reported to have slipped and hit their head. On-site entertainment is sparse and underwhelming, with the climbing wall and tree-top trail closed even during peak August, and activities skewed heavily toward French speakers, leaving international guests out of the loop. The restaurant and takeaway service are often overwhelmed, leading to long waits, and the shop can require over an hour just to get served. Staff reactions can be dismissive when concerns are raised, such as about the missing pool cover, and some travelers have encountered outright rude receptionists. Noise is a recurring issue, with pitches near walkways plagued by late-night children playing, barking dogs, and general commotion. The internal roads are narrow and lack a one-way system, making navigation tricky for motorhomes, while a damaged tree with warning tape adds a safety concern. Despite these flaws, many families return year after year, praising the site as a wonderful holiday spot, and its location for visiting the landing beaches is unbeatable. Cleanliness gets mixed marks—some find the sanitary blocks spotless, others cite them as dirty. The atmosphere can be festive and enjoyable for those lucky enough to land a good pitch, but the overall value, especially at high-season prices, is widely felt to be poor. Travelers seeking only a basic stopover with electric and water hookups might find it adequate, while those expecting luxury will be disappointed by the lukewarm pool, lack of changing facilities, and inconsistent service.
