Just a stone's throw from Aix-en-Provence, this serene campsite is a true slice of Provence, enveloped by jasmine, lavender, olive trees, and towering pines. The setting is remarkably calm and peaceful, with views of Mont Sainte-Victoire that turn every sunrise into a spectacle. A bus stop right outside the gate whisks you to the city center in around 16 minutes, making car-free exploration delightfully easy. The real showstopper is the magnificent infinity pool, whose silver-ion ceramic tiles reflect the mountain and make every swim feel magical. Pitches are spacious and generously shaded by old trees, though the ground can be hard so bring sturdy pegs. Sanitary facilities are clean and being refreshed, with nice showers and toilets, though some still show their age. The staff are universally praised as friendly, helpful, and welcoming, speaking good English to boot. You can order fresh bread and pastries in the morning, but off-season a bakery four kilometers away offers a lovely bike ride. A small stream fed by a dam runs alongside the site, perfect for cooling off dogs on warm days. The restaurant on site is a pleasant addition for casual meals. At night the campsite is wonderfully quiet and dark, promising a restful sleep under the stars. Cycling and walking routes through the surrounding countryside invite you to explore. Most guests stay just a night, but the tranquil atmosphere and reasonable prices make longer visits equally tempting. Overall, this campsite distills the essence of Provence into a peaceful, affordable retreat.
